The 254 Project was founded by Jonathon Hawke Weiss, as a historical preservation and travel project. The 254 Project is a mission to visit all 254 counties across Texas, showcasing their courthouses and unique history.

This project supports non-profit and state organizations such as the Texas Courthouse Preservation Program and the Texas Historical Commission by providing high quality videos and photos of each courthouse for archival purposes. It also supports local communities by providing each county with their own copy of the videos.

The 254 Project is part of the larger, Higher Court Project, to reach and capture every courthouse in America.

Project Start Date: June 21, 2025
